North Heidelberg have won the Marbuilt Division 2 U19.5 premiership after defeating Whittlesea by 51-points in the decider at Lalor Reserve.
After conceding a fast start to the Eagles, the Bulldogs came charging home to claim a 16.9 (105) to 8.6 (54) triumph in the first Division 2 Grand Final of 2025.
Kyan Carman was sublime in attack, kicking five goals to earn himself Best on Ground honours for the Bulldogs.
Jackson Magann and Jayce Callegari were also terrific alongside Alo Tiatia who played a key role in attack and midfield.
For the Eagles, skipper Oscar Parkinson fought hard for his side, being rewarded with two goals for the match.
Caden Allen led the way in attack again with three goals while Tullough Bland was also solid alongside Aaron Abbondio.
It was Allen who kickstarted the Eagles early on, kicking the first goal inside the first two minutes of the match.
Goals from Parkinson and Nick Whewell followed than Allen goal as the Eagles got out to a 20-point lead nine minutes into the contest.
North Heidelberg slowly worked their way back into the contest, kicking the final two goals of the term to reduce the Bulldogs deficit to seven points at the first break.
Whittlesea once again got off to a fast start through Harvey Hempenstall, increasing their lead to 13 points early in the second.
But much like the first term the Bulldogs then worked their way into the contest and started to get on top around the contest
This resulted in North Heidelberg kicking the final three goals of the quarter, including one right on the half time siren, to lead by one straight kick at the main break.
Both sides traded early blows in the third quarter as they remained in a tight tussle for the ascendancy in the U19s decider.
It was the Bulldogs who grabbed the ascendancy though after the opening 10 minutes, moving the ball smoothly and winning the little contests.
They were able to kick the final four goals of the third, resulting in them holding a 26 point buffer as both sides entered their final huddles for season 2025.
North Heidelberg then built on the late momentum they gained in the fourth quarter, kicking four of the first five goals of the term to all but seal the Marbuilt Division 2 U19.5 premiership.
After Whittlesea kicked the first goal of time on, best on ground medallist Kyan Carman kicked the final two goals of the match to make it a 51-point victory for the Bulldogs.
