Three close finishes and a statement making win played out in what was an entertaining opening week of the 2024 senior women’s finals series.

Lower Plenty booked their place in the 2024 Cleaning Melbourne Division 2 women’s first semi-final after a dominant 89-point victory over a gallant Thomastown outfit at Epping Recreational Reserve.

A thrilling four-point victory confirmed a top three finish for Ivanhoe in their inaugural Cleaning Melbourne Division 2 Women’s campaign, defeating fellow finals bound side Lower Plenty at Ivanhoe Park.
