COACHING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER MERNDA JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB

Mernda JFC is seeking a proactive Coaching Development Manager to lead our coaching and player development initiatives across U12 and older age groups in the 2026 season.

As the successful candidate, you will guide coaches, nurture talent, and help shape a united, inclusive football community where every player thrives.

Key Responsibilities

Support and mentor U12+ coaches through:

  • Weekly engagement and guidance on game-day strategy
  • Enhancing drills and designing sessions aligned with match performance
  • Collaborating with fitness and coaching providers for elevated training outcomes
  • Assisting coaches with game-day setup, including rotations
  • Providing position-specific support (backs, mids, forwards) to refine tactics and development
  • Observing games and offering targeted feedback to coaches and teams
  • Supporting opposition analysis and tactical adjustments
  • Leading coaching workshops and development sessions focused on match readiness
  • Managing the grading process through panel coordination and policy review
  • Acting as Coaching Coordinator—approachable and responsive to coach enquiries
  • Establishing and leading a separate elite player development program to extend opportunities for high-performing athletes

These efforts aim to uplift the entire playing group – via the coach – ensuring that every athlete develops core skills, game awareness, and confidence throughout the season.

 Role Details

  • Approx. 20 hours per week, with flexibility across training and match days
  • This is a fully paid position, reflecting the role’s experience and contribution
