Heidelberg premiership coach and five-time Tigers premiership player Danny Nolan will leave his post as senior coach of the club.
After coaching the Tigers to their first flag since 2016 last month, the club announced that Nolan will step aside due to work commitments interstate.
Nolan began his Heidelberg career in 2004 and would go on to kick 276 goals in 187 games. He was an integral member of the Tigers’ incredible dynasty throughout the 2000’s, where they won five premierships between 2004 and 2009, he also picked up four best and fairest’s during his stint in the yellow and black.
He then took over as senior coach of the Tigers at the end of the 2019 season and in his first completed year at the helm, led the club to its 21st premiership, losing just one game throughout the entire 2022 campaign.
A Heidelberg life member and team of the decade member, Nolan leaves Warringal Park as one of their most decorated products.
