DIAMOND CREEK has appointed Craig Hayes as its senior coach for the 2015 season.
Hayes has previous coaching experience in the Northern Football League, having coached Eltham for three years between 2009-2011.
In 2010 he guided the Panthers to the Division 1 finals for the first time in 33 years.
Hayes (pictured below) most recently coached Banyule in the Victorian Amateur Football League (VAFA). Banyule will join the NFL in 2015, where it will compete in Division 3.
He joins Diamond Creek as it looks to climb up the ladder following a 2014 season where it only narrowly avoided relegation from Division 2.
Hayes replaces David Calthorpe who left the club following a heavy defeat to North Heidelberg in Round 8.
Brian Hardman coached the club for the final 10 rounds of the 2014 season.
