This opportunity provides journalism and media students a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience in sports media, and also caters for those who simply love football and are wishing to get involved at the grass-roots level.

There are a number of positions available through the NFL this season across a number of different mediums. These include:

Print: Write match reports, match previews and feature articles for The Northerner, the official publication of the Northern Football League.

Web: Content writer or columnist for the NFL webpage.

Radio: Around-the-grounds caller for the NFL Match of the Day broadcast on 88.6 Plenty Valley FM each Saturday.

Netball: Write netball match reports and features for the NFL record and website.

There are also opportunities throughout the season to assist with the league’s web-tv program, NFL TV, which can be discussed further.

If you are interested in becoming a media volunteer with the Northern Football League, please contact media manager Samuel Zito via email (Opens window for sending emailmedia@nfl.org.au) and provide your resume and a brief background.

Alternatively, you can phone Samuel on 9435 8228 during office hours.
