Josh Delaney fundraiser

Josh was seriously injured while playing for the Demons this season, with the extent of his injuries including a bruised and swollen spine, torn ligaments in his neck and shoulder, damaged nerves in his shoulder and a prolapsed disc in his neck between the C3 and C4 vertebrae.

He underwent surgery two months ago where doctors removed torn ligaments from Josh’s neck and took out the disc between the C3 and C4 vertebrae, replacing it with two screws and a plate.

A member of both Mernda’s football and cricket teams, a 20/20 cricket match between Mernda footballers and cricketers has been organised for tonight to help Josh in his time of need.

The match will be played at Mernda Recreation Reserve from 5:30pm.

There will also be a BBQ , raffles and an auction on the night, with all money raised going directly to Josh.

Anyone wishing to donate or find out more information can contact Bec on 0434 515 581.
