Lions unveil coaching staff

Published on Thursday, October 23, 2014

South Morang has finalised its coaching panel for the 2015 season, with Craig Lambert re-appointed as senior coach.

The new-look panel includes former Bundoora and Whittlesea premiership forward Paul Harrison as a playing assistant, while fellow Bull Trevor Croughan joins as a senior assistant coach.

Harrison has more than 200 games Division 1 experience and returns to the Northern Football League after spending the 2014 season with Kilmore in the Riddell District Football League.

Croughan makes the trip down Plenty Rd after a long and distinguished association with Bundoora.

South Morang finished third in its return to Division 3 this season. It won 10 of 16 games in the regular season before defeating Watsonia in the first semi final.

A six-goal loss to Reservoir in the preliminary final ended its 2014 campaign.

Meantime, South Morang stalwart Rodney Thompson returns as reserves coach, having guided the reserves to a premiership back in 2002.
