Match of the Day – Greensborough vs Montmorency

Published on Friday, August 3, 2012

The game had previously been scheduled as Heidelberg vs Bundoora, then West Preston-Lakeside vs Northcote Park, however technical issues at both home grounds have made both games unavailable for broadcast.

Nevertheless, the Greensborough v Montmorency game should be a beauty, with plenty at stake for both sides.

In order to make the finals the Boro can no longer afford to lose a game in the final month of the home and away season.

And with a number of former players returning to the club for a past players function tonight, there is plenty of impetus for the Boro to lift for their former greats.

A win could propel Montmorency back to the top of the Division 1 ladder, provided Bundoora can topple Heidelberg at Warringal Park.

The Magpies last week had their six-game winning streak broken when beaten by the Tigers in a nail-biter and will have to be at their best to get past the Boro at War Memorial Park.

Tune in to 88.6 Plenty Valley FM from 1pm for the NFL preview show, before all of the action from Greensborough vs Montmorency game is called from 2pm.
