It was the penultimate round of the home and away season in Division 1, with the biggest surprise Eltham’s convincing win over Bundoora.
Paul Scanlon’s last ditch goal got Northcote Park over the line against minor premier Montmorency, while Heidelberg, Greensborough and Macleod all charged to victory in their respective matches.
The top four all recorded wins in Division 2, with each convincing in the manner in which they took the four point.
The home and away season concluded in Division 3, with Parkside and St Mary’s playing out a nail-biter, while Panton Hill and Thomastown took winning form into the finals series.
