Hurstbridge pushed Division 2 ladder-leader Whittlesea all the way in their encounter at Whittlesea Showgrounds, while Diamond Creek’s hopes of a top two finish took a hit following a loss at North Heidelberg.
In Division 3, Panton Hill and Thomastown met in a top of the table clash, while St Mary’s looked to end a five-game losing streak when it played Heidelberg West.
