It was truly an amazing weekend, with a number of upsets across all three competitions.
Bundoora booted 11 goals in the final term to overrun Heidelberg at Warringal Park, while Montmorency further strengthened its place at the top of the Division 1 ladder with a mighty win over Northcote Park in the NFL Match of the Day.
In Division 2, Whittlesea overcame a 54-point deficit at three-quarter time to down the Fitzroy Stars, while South Morang and Mernda also caused boilovers to earn important wins over Hurstbridge and North Heidelberg respectively.
Darren Gresham booted 11 goals as Parkside toppled Reservoir in an upset at Pitcher Park, while Thomastown recorded its best win of the year when it beat Division 3 ladder-leader Panton Hill.
