Munn to lead Power’s women’s side in 2024

The Laurimar Sporting Club has appointed Shane Munn as the club’s senior women’s coach for the 2024 season.

He replaces Mark Goulding who served one season in the role.

The Power finished seventh in the NFNL Division 3 women’s competition in 2022.

A club statement said:

We are pleased to announce our new Senior Womens Coach, Shane Munn.

We all welcome Shane and wife Alice and children Penelope & Daisy to the Laurimar Sporting Club.

Shane played the majority of football until his mid 20’s in the EDFL with the Sunbury Kangaroos.

A strong competitor in CrossFit from ages 29-32. CrossFit is a form of high intensity interval training, strengthening and conditioning workout.

Shane also has a background in Thai boxing working out of the Hammers gym from ages 18-26 and a Thai boxing Coach at Hammers gym at age 28 teaching coordination skills, as well as tactical intelligence, strength, speed and dexterity.

Shane is looking forward to meeting the group and getting stuck into training.
