Netball – June 25

Published on Friday, June 25, 2021

The NFNL is delighted to have all netball competitions return to play this weekend, with spectators permitted at all venues.

With the Victorian Government easing restrictions across the state from Thursday 11:59pm, we are thrilled to have all 13 netball sections in action this week.

All players, officials and spectators are asked to please read the NFNL’s COVID procedure plan below, which has been implemented in-line with the Return to Play protocols.

• We will have an entry and exit plan in place for entering and exiting La Trobe and RMIT, which will minimise contact between all players and officials. Please follow the signage and guidance from NFNL and venue staff when you arrive at the stadium.

• Players and officials are asked to arrive at La Trobe Sports Stadium and RMIT no more than 20 minutes prior to their game.

• As per Government guidelines, it is mandatory for all players and club officials to check-in using the Vic Government QR code, which will be displayed at all NFNL netball venues.

• Must be worn indoors, unless you are playing or have a medical exemption.

• Teams will be ushered from La Trobe Sports Stadium and RMIT by an NFNL official at the completion of their match. Debriefing and cool down must take place outside the stadium, following social distancing guidelines. This is to allow players and officials for the next match to enter the stadium.

All these decisions have been made to ensure a controlled environment for the health and welfare of all players, officials and spectators.

All patrons are reminded that a $2.50 entry fee is to be paid on arrival for everyone over the age of 18.

We are encouraging everyone to pay by card to minimise the handling of money.
