The Northern Football League is pleased to announce a new partnership with Coachsmart Systems.
Dual Northern Football League premiership coach Garry Ramsay has developed two coaching systems that he believes will help every junior and senior NFL club and coach.
Garry and the NFL want to help every coach enjoy football without unnecessary distractions.
Garry’s Coachsmart Development Kit will give you the structure that allows you more time to enjoy coaching, and less time doing paperwork and dealing with players and parents’ concerns around fairness.
The system gives you a simple structure to work with, and at the same time allows you to set your own game plan and follow your own coaching philosophies.
All junior clubs and coaches must adhere to the AFL Coaches’ Code of Conduct and the Coachsmart System ensures this happens. Among the Codes coaches must adhere to are:
No.6: I will avoid overplaying the talented players, aiming to maximise participation and enjoyment for all players regardless of ability. When I am responsible for players in the 5-12 year-old age group, I will ensure that all players gain equal playing time.
No.12: I will ensure that players are involved in a positive environment where skill-learning and development are priorities and not overshadowed by a desire to win.
Garry and Coachsmart’s long-term goal is to improve, educate and regulate junior coaches and enhance the development and growth of AFL junior football Australia-wide!
Simply put – everyone should enjoy AFL football.
Garry’s Coachsmart Advanced Kit is designed for older juniors and senior coaches and clubs. This system reduces three different boards into one and is printed full colour both sides.
The Coachsmart Advanced Kit will reduce preparation time and allows you to give your players live statistics during the game. The board is designed to accelerate player learning and also gives you structure, but not advice.
