NFNL juniors set for NAB League Girls season

Twenty-four players from the NFNL will compete in the 2020 NAB League Girls season.

The 2020 NAB League Girls season commences this weekend, with the competition to be played across 10 rounds, ahead of a two-week final series featuring the top-four sides.

Reigning premier Northern Knights has included 18 NFNL players in their squad as they prepare to defend their title.

Among them are AFL Academy members Maykaylah Appleby (South Morang), Alyssa Bannan (South Morang) and Maeve Chaplin (Darebin).

Calder Cannons has listed five players from the NFNL, while Bendigo’s Katelyn Hazlett has been selected in the Greater Western Victoria squad.

There is certain to be plenty of NFNL talent featured in the 2020 season opener, when the Knights host the Cannons at RMIT Bundoora from 10:15am Saturday.

The NFNL congratulates all representatives selected in NAB League Girls squads for the 2020 season and wishes them the best of luck for the year ahead.
