NFNL Statement – June 9

Published on Wednesday, June 9, 2021

The NFNL has released the following statement after today’s announcement from the Victorian Government.

On the back of today’s announcement by the Victorian Government, training for community sport in metropolitan Melbourne is permitted to recommence from Friday June 11.

This will be in accordance with council approval to access club facilities.

In regards to the return to play date, we welcome today’s update which proposed a return to competition for all age groups from Friday June 18.

This is to be confirmed by the Victorian Government next week.

We are waiting to receive an updated version of the Return to Play/Train protocols from AFL Victoria and we will share these with clubs as soon as we receive them.

All clubs are asked to please ensure they are across all COVID protocols (contract tracing, social distancing, hygiene requirements, etc) prior to recommencing training.

Please enjoy getting back to training and all things being equal everyone will be back playing next weekend.

The Northern Football Netball League wishes to thank the NFNL community for your patience and support during this period.
