Panton Hill to host CFA Cup

 The event is held annually and is known as the CFA Cup, in recognition of the important role of the CFA in the community.

The day also remembers the local CFA lives lost in the Ash Wednesday bushfires.

This year the event will be more formalised with the support of the Department of Planning and Community Development Fire Ready Communities Program.The day will include promotions, pamphlets, signage and announcements promoting the need for fire preparations.

The CFA will have their trucks positioned around the ground and volunteers to answer questions.

There will be an afternoon tea for local guests at 2:00pm and then the feature of the day will be the match between St Andrews and Panton Hill Primary Schools at half time of the senior match between Panton Hill and Watsonia.

After the half time match there will be an award ceremony, with all participating school children receiving a trophy and snacks/drink. 

A gold coin donation will be sought from attendees on the day (there will not be a gate run by the club) with proceeds to go to the local CFA’s.
