Plunkett takes reins at Lower

Lower Plenty has appointed former Heidelberg and Bundoora premiership mentor Phil Plunkett as senior men’s football coach for the 2022 season.

“The club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Phil Plunkett as the Men’s Senior Coach for the 2022 season.

Phil boasts an impressive playing & coaching career across the NFNL and other leagues, including coaching Heidelberg to three successive premierships 2007 – 2009 and Bundoora to the 2013 flag.

Phil is already in contact with the coaching and playing group, and there will be more news to report when we get out of lockdown.

Welcome Phil to the Bear’s family, we look forward to seeing you around the club!

And for those wondering, yes, that is is Phil’s daughter, Mikayla playing with our Women’s team. We are certainly a family club.
