The Heidelberg West Football Netball Club is accepting applications for the role of senior men’s coach for the 2026 season.
Affiliated with the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL), the Heidelberg West Football Netball club is a well-established sporting club currently playing in division 3 of the senior men’s and women’s football competitions.
Heidelberg West Football Netball Club (HWFNC) is seeking an experienced, passionate and strategic Senior Men’s Football Coach (playing or non-playing) to lead the club’s Division 3 team within the Northern Football Netball League. This is a leadership role focused on developing a strong playing group, driving high performance culture and aligning with the clubs values on and off the field.
Key Selection Criteria
- Strong communicator with a great balance of interpersonal skills at both player and committee member level
- Experience in nurturing and developing footballing talent
- Assist in recruitment and retention of players
- Ability to develop and implement structured gameday strategies and programs for the playing group
- Disciplined, organised, and well-structured approach to training, opposition analysis and game day preparations.
- Flexible and responsive to changes in direction and priorities, as and when required
- Strong game day leader who thrives in a pressure environment
- Willingness to uphold the values & behaviours of the sporting club
Senior Coaching experience viewed as advantageous but not essential however, all applicants must hold a minimum Level 1 AFL Coaching accreditation.
