Mernda Football Netball Club is seeking applications for the position of Senior Men’s Coach for the 2026 season.
Mernda Senior Football Netball Club is a 135-year-old family-oriented club located in Mernda, Victoria who competes in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL).
We have a strong focus on supporting local and home grown players, with many of our players being together since juniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement training plans and game plans to ensure on field & off field success
- Lead player recruitment, retention & development within the club, working closely with the Football Manager and relevant committee members.
- Foster a professional, positive and discipline culture in line with the Club’s values.
- Provide strong leadership to the playing & coaching groups that ensures a supportive team first culture
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 1 coaching accreditation
- Strong knowledge & experience in Australian Rules Football.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, time management & interpersonal skills.
- Previous playing and/or coaching experience at a high level is preferred but not essential
- Working with Children Check
In season must be available for training Tuesday & Thursday nights & gameday Saturday’s.
Pre-season must be available two weeknights for training.
