Senior Teams | June 29-30 | Northern Football Netball League

The selected teams are in for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

All senior men’s teams in MC Labour Division 2 and Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 are permitted to select a 23rd Player for this weekend’s matches. The 23rd Player must be an Under-19.5 eligible player and can’t have previously played more than two senior games.

Former Carlton & Brisbane Lions star Mitch Robinson will suit up for Eltham in their important clash with Macleod. He’s one of three inclusions for the Panthers, who will miss co-captain Lane Sinclair and defender Luke Wachinger. The Roos will be without Haydon Manuel.

Heidelberg have made seven changes when they host Montmorency. Brayden Sier returns from injury while Kieren Andrew has also been named, however they will be without some key names including Zane Barzen, Dylan Clarke and Sean Martin, with Lachlan Wilson returning to VFL duties.

The Magpies bring back Nash Holmes in one of three changes.

Vivian Blackmore-Moore and Mitchell Hymus have not been named for Banyule and Hurstbridge respectively ahead of their meeting while Lachlan Smith and Felix Dreher have also been ruled out for North Heidelberg and West Preston-Lakeside when the two clubs do battle.

Thomas Brindley and Angus Seivers headline the outs for Greensborough while their Saturday opponents in Bundoora will not have captain Luke Collins at their disposal.

Scott Conte is back for Panton Hill as they host St Mary’s, with the Burra set to unveil Alex Chiocci following his transfer from Montmorency.

Lower Plenty will miss some crucial names in Riley Alexander and Joshua Turner ahead of their big contest with Northcote Park. The Cougars will miss Daniel Tallariti but will include Lorne Waldron for his first game for the club.

Kain Hall has been listed as out for South Morang when they travel to Thomastown, meanwhile forwards Jacson Cecil and Joel Lawson will be unavailable for Laurimar when they tackle Diamond Creek.

Brent Marshall will make his long-awaited debut for Mernda as they visit Epping. The Bundoora icon is one of three additions for the Demons, who also bring back WIlliam Crouch, but will miss Matthew Bawden, Matthew Golledge and Riley Vincent.

A host of names will miss for Old Eltham Collegians as they look to get back on the winners list against Kinglake, including Hugh Kavanagh, Matthew Keys, Eden Simpson and Bradyn Taglieri.

Masaki Miki returns for Heidelberg West as they host an Old Paradians outfit who will have defender Declan Brunskill back after he was a late omission last week.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
