Josh Turner claimed the Northern Knights’ 2013 best and fairest award at the club’s presentation night at Rydges Bell City on Saturday.
Turner polled 120 votes, with a late flurry enabling him to just edge out Matthew Haynes who finished with 117 votes. Liam Hunt finished third with 102 votes and also polled well in the back end of the season.
All of the Knights’ top three vote getters are products of the Northern Football League.
Turner is a Research junior and also played two games with Lower Plenty’s seniors during the 2013 season.
