Position Title: AFL Sports Trainer (PAID)

 

Position Type: Casual

 

Location: Whittlesea Football Netball Club – NFNL

 

About the Role:

Whittlesea Football Netball Club is seeking 2-3 enthusiastic and reliable Sports Trainers to join our team for the 2026 season.

 

You’ll work closely with our Senior, Reserves,19.5s and Women’s teams, alongside a supportive group of fellow trainers. This role offers valuable hands-on experience—perfect for students or graduates looking to start or grow their career in sports.

 

Previous experience is welcome but not essential! 😊

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

🦅 Provide first aid and injury management to players during games and training sessions. Including taping and soft tissue massage techniques.

 

🦅 Assist with pre-game preparation and post-game recovery.

 

🦅 Work collaboratively with coaches, team managers, and other trainers to promote a safe and supportive environment.

 

 

Essential Requirements:

✔️ Level 1 Sports Trainer Accreditation (Sports Medicine Australia or equivalent)

 

✔️ Provide First Aid + CPR (current within the last 12 months)

 

✔️ Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain, if required)

 

✔️ Availability for training sessions + game day (Tuesday and Thursday night training, Saturday/Sunday game days)
