Heidelberg Football Netball Club is seeking applications for a female senior women’s assistant coach for the 2024 season.
We encourage ex-AFLW or VFLW players to apply for this role, who are looking to enter or develop their coaching career. Consideration will also be given to a playing assistant coach.
Our Women’s team has a positive, safe, inclusive, supportive, enjoyable and professional culture – with a focus on a team first environment which is designed to achieve improvement and success.
Our #1 objective is that our players enjoy their football experience and journey with our club, whilst improving their football within in a competitive environment.
Heidelberg FNC is extremely well placed for the future of Women’s Football.
In 2023 our Senior Women’s team finished runner up, narrowly defeated in the Division 2 grand final in a very high standard game.
Our Youth Girls were Division 1 2023 premiers, winning a fast paced, thrilling grand final. A number of these talented players will progress to our senior women’s playing list in 2024. Overall, our Junior Girls Football program is exceptionally strong and growing, with 140 participants in 2023, with continued growth anticipated in 2024 and beyond.
Our junior and senior clubs are very aligned regarding girls and women’s footy, ensuring a seamless pathway for Heidelberg players.
Our Senior Women’s team is looking forward to the 2024 season, under 3rd year Coach Andrew Harwood and our wider coaching and support team.
We believe the addition of a like-minded, experienced ex-player or current Women’s Footballer, who is seeking a coaching position, would be an ideal candidate.
Level 1 Coaching Accreditation is required before the season commences, and opportunities to complete a Level 2 Coaching Accreditation will be positively encouraged.
Whilst the role offered for 2024 is voluntary, some consideration will be given to more experienced applicants or those who have been involved in football at a higher level.
