The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

Greensborough has received a major boost ahead of its trip to Hurstbridge, with Jack Johnston, Billy Murphy, Daniel McLinden and Josh Callaway all added to the side that last week beat Northcote Park.

The Bridges have also strengthened their side as they look to bounce back from last week’s thrashing against West Preston-Lakeside, with forwards Travis Cloke and Mitch Burton named among three inclusions.

Macleod will take on fourth-placed West Preston-Lakeside without injured skipper Justin White and reigning best and fairest Shane Doherty. However, Nick Lynch and Josh Henkel both come into the side – Henkel for his first game in 2018.

The Roosters have some big names returning, led by Ahmed Saad. He’ll be joined in the side by Alex Federico, Matthew Harman, Joel McDonald, Jaylon Thorpe and James Tadd as their side aims to break Macleod’s 12-game winning run.

Gary Moorcroft, Andrew Sturgess, Josh Iacobaccio and Kain Proctor return for Bundoora’s trip to Warringal Park to take on Heidelberg. However, Matthew Dennis is among the outs.

Fletcher Carroll, Will Goss, Harrison Payne and Mathew Pianto all return for the Tigers, in a vital match for both sides’ finals hopes.

Elsewhere, defender Lachlan Boscarini returns from injury when Northcote Park hosts Montmorency, while reigning Whittlesea best and fairest Jai Robinson has been named for his side’s home game against an unchanged North Heidelberg.

In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, Lower Plenty has named Darcy Barden for its top-four match against Banyule – who will be without Brent Stanton for the first time since Round 7.

Eltham will be without its leading goal kicker Michael Still when it hosts fourth-placed Thomastown, although Brandon Freeman makes a timely return from injury.

Thomastown has lost forwards Matthew Ferraro and Daniel Francis, along with Nicholas Horman.

Allan Norris and Steven Stallion have been named for the Fitzroy Stars’ trip to Epping, while Watsonia regains Kieran Sheehan.

Shane Derham and Daniel Dober return for St Mary’s in Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, while Mernda will be without Daniel Bryant for its home match against Kilmore.

Selected teams for the three ANZ NFNL Women’s competitions will be named in the lead-up to Sunday’s matches.
