The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.
The big names return for the finals across all three senior men’s competitions.
Brent Harvey and Kyle McDonald are among three inclusions for North Heidelberg for the Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 qualifying final against West Preston-Lakeside at Preston City Oval on Saturday.
The Roosters have made six changes to the side that comfortably beat Greensborough in Round 18, which includes the return of Ozgur Uysal, Luke Lirosi, Michael Ercolano and Liam McVeigh.
Greensborough has named Billy Murphy for Sunday’s elimination final against Bundoora. The Box Hill-listed forward has booted 18 goals in five appearances for the Boro in 2018.
Murphy is joined in the Boro’s side by Lachlan McQuilken, Jason Rogers and Andrew Stellas.
The Bulls welcome back Liam Byrne and Scott Dowell, however Ricky Dyson, Jack Furlong and Richard Bamblett will miss.
Eltham co-captain Bradyn Taglieri will play his first game since Round 10 in the A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2 second semi final against Lower Plenty. Michael Still also returns from a six-week injury layoff, however Tom Rogers will miss the finals with a knee injury.
Lower Plenty regains Jordan Sacco and Nick Mackay in a match where the winner earns the first place in the grand final.
Brent Stanton makes a timely return for Banyule’s first semi final against Thomastown at Epping Recreation Reserve on Sunday. The former Essendon star has played eight games in 2018, the last of which was in Round 13.
Thomastown has made four changes, which includes the return of Salvatore Mamone.
Panton Hill has bolstered its forward line for the Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 preliminary final with Matthew Byron and Declan Carson-Mclennan both named to play. Byron has booted 44 goals this season.
South Morang has added Northern Knights-listed teen Brody Bell and Mitch Dickson.
