The Northern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Sacco to the position of Media Manager.
Nicholas has been a dedicated member of the NFNL’s media team since 2015 and brings extensive knowledge of the league’s football and netball competitions.
During his time with the media team, Nicholas has been a match-day reporter, feature writer, Match of the Day radio commentator and co-host of the NFNL Podcast.
In addition to his work with the NFNL media team, Nicholas has hosted, edited and produced the Pies Nation Podcast for the past three years. He has also been a content producer for Williamstown Football Club.
Nicholas will begin with the NFNL on Friday March 25.
He will replace Samuel Zito, who will depart the NFNL on April 6 to commence a position with the AFL as Talent and Second Tier Competition Media Manager.
NFNL Chief Executive Officer Peter McDougall said Nicholas’ appointment was deserved recognition for the dedication he has displayed as a long-time volunteer of the league’s media team.
“Nicholas has already made a fantastic contribution to the NFNL’s media team, and we look forward to him continuing this work as the league’s Media Manager,” McDougall said.
“I would also like to acknowledge and thank Samuel Zito for the outstanding contribution he has made to the NFNL as Media Manager over the past 11 years.
“Samuel has taken the NFNL’s media and communications department to become a leader amongst community football and netball leagues.
“His appointment to his new role is well deserved and I wish him every success in this exciting next phase of his career.”
