The Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) wishes to advise of a venue change as part of the 2024 senior men’s and senior women’s football finals series.
After a recent inspection of the Whittlesea Showgrounds as part of preparations for the upcoming finals series, it was determined that condition of the playing surface was not suitable to conduct matches on throughout the finals campaign.
Hence, the NFNL will be shifting all finals matches originally scheduled at the Whittlesea Showgrounds to Lalor Reserve.
This includes the Division 3 senior women’s first and second semi-finals on Sunday, August 11th, as well as all Division 3 senior men’s finals matches, including the Grand Final on Saturday, September 7th.
It will be the first time the ground has hosted senior finals since 2013, when the two Division 2 senior men’s semi-final’s took place at the venue.
We extend our thanks to the Lalor Football Netball Club for their assistance in hosting senior finals matches in 2024, and we look forward to seeing games played at the venue over the next month.
