Laurimar have claimed their 10th consecutive victory in the 2025 Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3 season, defeating Kinglake by 16 points in a hard-fought game at Laurimar Reserve.

It was a competitive game from both sides, but in the end it was the Power who took away the win, 11.8 (74) to 9.4 (58) at Laurimar Reserve.

Both teams sat in the top four, but after this round 12 clash Kinglake have dropped down to fifth while Laurimar retained their second-place spot.

Laurimar were looking to continue their nine-game win streak while Kinglake were looking to make it their fourth consecutive win.

Coming in hard for the Lakers were the usual suspects Bailey Robinson and Dylan Hoysted. Robinson was electric in the midfield while Hoysted kicked four goals for the game.

From the Power, Joel Lawson and Micah Vecchio were standouts with Patrick Fitzgerald kicking four goals.

Kinglake kickstarted the game with a contested mark within their forward 50 from Hoysted, leading to the first goal of the match.

The Power retaliated with two goals from six scoring shots, resulting in the hosts taking a 2.4 (16) to 1.1 (7) coming into the second term.

Both teams came in with a large presence as the ball constantly moved up and down the ground. Laurimar were able to score another two goals to maintain their lead, Carter McCall kicked a goal out of a contest while Joel Lawson kicked a goal from just outside the forward 50.

Captain Bailey Robinson kept Kinglake in the contest, kicking a goal at the end of the term.

Coming into the third term there was only a 15-point difference as Laurimar held their lead. Kinglake didn’t hold back kicking six goals to Laurimar’s three.

Hoysted and Thomas Clarke kicked two goals each while Rory McIntyre and Ethan Robinson kicked a goal each.

The Lakers maintained their goal accuracy as out of their seven scoring shots they achieved six goals, pushing the away side into the lead at the end of the third term, 8.3 (51) to 7.6 (48).

Carter McCall kicked the opening goal in the fourth term to put the Power back in front. The Power only built off this with another three goals from Noah Mooney, Kaiden Arthur and Patrick Fitzgerald.

The Power’s pressure in the fourth term made it a difficult quarter for the Lakers, but once again Dylan Hoysted kicked another goal for the side as he was a standout from the Lakers.

It was a tough battle from both sides and despite the Lakers efforts, the Power took away a 16-point win, 11.8 (74) to 9.4 (58).
