Big fortnight for Dragons

Published on Wednesday, July 10, 2013

It’s shaping as a massive fortnight for the West Lalor Under-13s with four players set to play milestone games in the next two weeks.

Kaine Huff and Maroun Zakkour will both play their 50th games this Sunday when West Lalor’s Under-13 Green team hosts South Morang Maroon at Huskisson Reserve.

Kaine is a fine defender who is always relied upon to shut down the opposition’s best forwards, while Maroun is a running half back with accurate foot skills.

The milestones don’t end with Kaine and Maroun however, with Jacob Duson and Aiden Stavridis booked in to play their 100th games a week later when the Dragons host Mernda in Round 13.

Jacob is a previous club best and fairest winner whose goal sense enabled him to win the under-12 goal kicking award. Aiden is also a club best and fairest winner and is highly regarded for his hard attack on the ball.

Good luck to all four boys in their big matches over the next two weeks!
