Greensborough favourite son Conlan Gunn will play his 200th senior game this Saturday when the Boro host Epping at War Memorial Park.

The in and under rover has been a mainstay in the Boro midfield over the past decade and has developed a reputation as one of the most revered players in the competition.

A member of Greensborough’s 2006 Division 2 premiership side, Gunn has developed into one of the premier midfielders in Division 1 over the past seven seasons.

He has been named in the Division 1 Team of the Year in each of the past three years, finishing third for the Frank Rosbrook Trophy in 2010 and fourth in 2011 – a season which he guided the Boro to finals action in the top flight for the first time in nearly two decades.

Revered for his courage and ability to win the contested football, Gunn won Greensborough’s best and fairest award in 2010 after finishing runner-up in 2004 and 2007. He also has three third-place finishes in the count (2005, 2006 and 2008).

The 30-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down and has experienced another solid season in 2013, named in the best five times.

The Greensborough Football and Netball Club congratulates Conlan on this wonderful achievement and hopes his 200th A-Grade game is one to remember.
