The Northern Football congratulates nine of its players selected in the 2014 Metropolitan Youth Girls State Academies.
AFL Victoria has two State Academies, which are based at the Calder Cannons and Sandringham Dragons.
Congratulations to the following NFL players who were all selected in the Calder Cannons State Academy:
Tikka Amos (South Morang), Stefini Buzzini (South Morang), Larissa Cullen (South Morang), Olivia Dalmau (South Morang), Tayla Hardiman (South Morang), Bailey Hunt (Montmorency), Nikita Magriplis (Keon Park), Courtney Musico (South Morang) and Lauren Stewart (South Morang)
Eight of the girls were members of the NFL’s Youth Girls team that competed in the 2013 AFL Victoria Metropolitan Junior Championships in June.
The league wishes all nine girls the best of luck at the State Academy.
