Would you like the opportunity to be the best you can be, really make a difference and have a great time doing it?

At Lion, our success comes from Great People and Great Brands. We are Australia and New Zealand’s leading food and beverage company with great brands for every occasion. You may be familiar with some of our iconic brands such as James Boag’s, Tooheys, XXXX, Hahn, Becks, Heineken and Corona.

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our passionate, achievement-focused Beer sales team in Victoria.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will play an integral role at a strategic and account planning level in the continued growth of our enviable brand portfolio in partnership with Victoria’s local football clubs.

As a Business Development Executive, you will negotiate new business and consequently develop actionable solutions to drive sales volume through promotional planning, business partnering and executional excellence.

In this role you will leverage your knowledge of AFL and local sports to build long-term, mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships and grow our James Boag’s Draught local football sponsorship program.

This role also requires acting as brand ambassador – your active presence at regular club events will help to bring our brands to life, further facilitating their integration into these organisations.

Your natural entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively will enable you to develop and drive new and innovative approaches to deliver outcomes for the business. This role is based out of our Malvern offices and reports to the Field Sales Manager.

To be successful in this role you will have:

•    Strong commercial acumen with excellent planning and negotiation
•    Proven communication & influencing skills, with the ability to connect and engage internal and external stakeholders
•    Good knowledge of and experience in either AFL or other local sports organisation
•    Experience liaising with agencies and media partners in relation to brand & marketing strategy
•    Current Australian Driver’s License
•    The ability to work flexible hours, with weekend & evening work required during the sporting season
•    Relevant tertiary qualifications (preferred but not essential)

Our culture of personal achievement and wellbeing provides the opportunity for a fulfilling career. If you meet these skills and qualifications we look forward to receiving your application.
