Lattouf signs on with Saints

Watsonia Sporting Club has announced that George Lattouf will continue as senior men’s football coach in 2023.

Lattouf joined the Saints in 2019 following a stint as reserves coach of Division 1 outfit West Preston-Lakeside. He has also previously served as senior coach at both Parkside and Thomastown.

Watsonia have had an improved 2022 MC Labour Division 2 season following a three win campaign last year.

Lattouf’s Saints sit in sixth position with a 7-9 record and are still mathematically in the hunt to play finals football.

A statement from the club said:

The Watsonia Sporting Club is delighted to announce that senior coach George Lattouf has agreed to extend his tenure into 2023.

George joined the club in 2019 the year after we had endured a season with one win from 18 games.

George has turned around the club’s fortunes with three win seasons in 2019 and 2021 which was Covid shortened.

This season we have secured 7 wins with 2 games remaining which speaks to George’s ability to bring the playing group together and drive for constant improvement.

Watsonia Sporting Club are also looking for senior assistant coaches to assist Lattouf in season 2023.
