Following an action-packed clash between the 2024 Grand Finalists in Week One of Round 13, Week Two brings another wave of exciting matchups as teams continue to battle for finals momentum.

Montmorency will once again take centre stage in the match of the day, this time hosting North Heidelberg on home turf.

Nick Rutley’s side have had a consistent season but have been challenged over the past few rounds.

Following a 54-point loss to Heidelberg, Montmorency have lost their comfortable position at 2nd place.

In the Grand Final rematch both teams were evenly contested with a few points difference at half time, until the Tigers took control and tripled their score in the second half.

Young gun Kieran Keating finished as one of the leading goalkickers with four crucial goals and earned himself his first Coaches MVP award votes.

Levi McCormack and Nicholas Green also had a big influence on the contest, but the Magpies will still need to regroup after the disappointing loss.

Meanwhile, North Heidelberg found success in Round 12, edging out Hurstbridge in a thrilling one-point win.

Brodie White was instrumental in turning the tide after three-quarter time, slotting three goals and collecting a perfect 10 Coaches MVP votes for his efforts.

Not far behind, Liam Hunt also left his mark, contributing a goal and earning six Coaches MVP votes.

Back in Round 4 of the 2025 season, North Heidelberg secured a hard-fought 13-point victory at Shelley Street.

Another chapter is set to be created at War Memorial Park on Saturday with Greensborough and Eltham facing off.

This will be their first encounter since the Good Friday clash, where Eltham walked away with a 27-point win.

But with both teams showing different form in the second half of the season, the result this time could tell a very different story.

Greensborough continue to impress this season, riding a winning streak of five crucial games which brought them to 2nd place on the ladder.

During the hard-fought match against South Morang, key players such as Thomas Brindley and Ben Ham both gained an equal five coaches MVP votes. Jackson Davies also played a crucial role in their narrow six-point win.

Eltham finally put a few losses behind them and bounced back with a 13-point victory over Montmorency in Round 12.

David Evans was the star of the show, putting six goals on the board, along with Sebastian Molloy who kicked two for the Panthers. Both scored well in coaches MVP votes.

Alexander Bellchambers continues his impressive season earning four coaches MVP votes and booting one goal.

Ben Frilay Oval will host the exciting matchup between Hurstbridge and West Preston-Lakeside.

The two sides are neck-and-neck on the ladder, separated by just one game.

After securing a much-needed win over Eltham in Round 11, Hurstbridge fell just short in a hard-fought contest against North, going down by a single point.

Mitchell Dale stood out with his efforts around the ball, earning four Coaches MVP votes, while Joel Naylor also impressed with five goals

West Preston-Lakeside had a solid 13-point win over Bundoora, attempting to build consistency heading into the final stretch.

Matthew Harman was outstanding, earning a full 10 Coaches MVP votes and moving into third place on the leaderboard.

Luke Vincitorio and Felix Dreher also played key roles in guiding the Roosters to victory.

Hurstbridge have the wood over the Roosters in recent history, winning the last eight times they’ve met West Preston-Lakeside dating back to 2022, which includes a 62-point win back in Round 4.

Banyule will be looking to put their four losses behind them as they encounter Bundoora at Yulong Reserve.

Their last loss came at the hands of Heidelberg, resulting in them dropping down to sixth due to percentage.

Bears Captain, Kye Yodgee was influential once again in the midfield, scoring six coaches MVP votes.

Both Oscar White and Jack Langford delivered strong performances against the league’s undefeated side, showcasing their work rate and determination

After a few rounds of triumph, Bundoora were unable to put a win on the board in Round 12, with West-Preston achieving a 13-point win.

Peter McEvoy and Liam Mallia kicked a total of five goals, both earning coaches MVP votes.

Damian Truslove’s side claimed the win in Round 4 by a tight eight points. This match-up promises to be another close contested battle.

South Morang will have another big test against Heidelberg in this top vs bottom of the ladder clash at Warringal Park.

Heidelberg will come into this match in strong form, recently securing a convincing 54-point victory over Montmorency over the weekend.

Heidelberg have seen many consistent performances from their key players, including Kai Kearns, who scored nine coaches MVP votes, along with Brody Tardio and Jack Andrew.

South Morang have faced a tougher run, narrowly losing by six points to a surging Greensborough side last round.

Kobe van Zwienen has been a key contributor and a vital player in keeping the team competitive against the stronger opposition in the division.

Earlier in the season the Tigers highlighted their dominance in the competition once again, defeating South Morang by 48 points in Round 4.
