Montmorency Football Netball Club is wishing to expand the involvement of female coaches in its junior and senior football program.

Are you interested in developing your skills in coaching?

Montmorency are wishing to expand the involvement of females in our junior and senior football program.

The club are seeking players or past players who wish to develop their skills in coaching females within our junior and senior program. The only requirement is that you must be currently playing or have played football previously.

Our program history

Montmorency was one of the very first clubs in the NFNL to identify, encourage and develop female football. When we first elected to field female football teams, we did not have one single player at the club. Since then we have grown to become a powerhouse of female football. This has been achieved because our club is very inclusive, has strong values is extremely well administered and resourced.

Female football commenced at Montmorency on April 11, 2012. Since that historic night the Montmorency female program has achieved numerous local and state awards. In addition to establishing ourselves as the most successful junior female club in the NFNL we have also won senior female premierships and in 2018 were runners up in an epic NFNL Senior Women’s Grand Final. We have produced multiple AFLW players, female football state captains and AFL Victoria Female State Coach of the Year Award winners.

In 2019 we established a second senior football side in the NFNL to cater for the growing number of players. This proved to be an outstanding success as we were able to provide a quality game of footy to over nearly 50 women each Sunday. Both teams made the NFNL finals (Div 1 & Div 3) and another great new chapter in the Women’s program at Montmorency was established.

We have in place a very efficient and well-established club structure for female football. Our senior female administration body are very experience and successful in female football administration and management. We enjoy an outstanding relationship with the Montmorency Junior Football Club, Montmorency senior men’s team, NFNL and Banyule Council.

All in all, we offer a tremendous environment in which any female and their family can enjoy playing football and be part of a very inclusive club.
