NFL Captains Series – Craig Flint and Jesse Donaldson

EDITION 13 of the NFL Captains Series, featuring Montmorency’s Craig Flint and Jesse Donaldson.

Throughout the 2015 season, Brad Emmett from NFL Media will chat with the captains from NFL senior clubs.

The latest edition of the series focuses on Montmorency co-captains Craig Flint and Jesse Donaldson.

The duo this year assumed the Magpies’ captaincy in a season of regeneration under new coach Ben Haynes.

A former Carlton rookie, Flint joined Montmorency in 2011 after stints with Mansfield and Sale.

He has been a member of the NFL’s Division 1 Team of the Year and in 2012 was co-captain of the Magpies with Shane Tennant, before Ryan Jackson took the captaincy for 2013-14.

A Diamond Creek junior who played 52 senior games with the Creekers between 2009-2011, Donaldson joined Montmorency in 2012 and has kicked 93 goals in 72 games for the Magpies.

He has twice been an NFL representative player and has also represented Vic Metro over the past two years. Last year he was voted the Division 1 Coaches Player of the Year.

Watch below as Flint and Donaldson discuss their roles as co-captain during a 2015 season that has seen Montmorency move down the ladder, but blood a number of talented youngsters into its senior team.
