The Northern Football League has announced its under-19 representative team ahead of next week’s clash with the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League.
The 26-man squad features some of the league’s most exciting young prospects, many of which are currently playing senior football with their respective clubs.
The under-19 representative match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the senior representative game against the MPNFL in the 2016 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships.
Both matches will be played at Rye’s R.J Rowley Recreation Reserve on Saturday May 21.
The NFL’s under-19 team will be coached by Greensborough under-19 premiership coach Rod Cann. South Morang’s Mark Muscat will serve as an assistant.
The under-19 squad will continue training next week in preparation for the representative clash.
The NFL thanks the Mernda Football Club for its hospitality in enabling the league’s under-19 squad to train on its grounds in recent weeks.
