NFNL joins forces with Outside the Locker Room

The NFNL is pleased to announce a formal partnership with leading sporting club mental health education and support provider OTLR.

The Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) and Outside the Locker Room (OTLR) have worked together over the past six months and have provided clubs with support across a range of welfare matters.

This partnership has now been formalised and aims to ‘Change the Game of Mental Health in Sport’.

OTLR will compliment the NFNL’s ever growing participation and provide the best possible environment in which athletes can participate.

OTLR CEO Todd Morgan says this will bring communities and clubs closer by creating and building relationships as well as providing mental health education and support to all members.

“This is an amazing prospect for the team at OTLR as we have an opportunity to make a real impact across the NFNL,” Morgan said.

“During my time in sport, mental health and wellbeing education was not available, and being able to equip members of a sporting community with the tools to identify and support either themselves or someone going through a mental health challenge is so important.”

NFNL CEO Martin Stillman says the league is excited to formally recognise its relationship with OTLR.

“The NFNL has been working with OTLR since late last year, recognising them as industry experts in their field,” Stillman said.

“We are now delighted to formalise this partnership and look forward to their continued support and guidance in the vital area of player and club welfare.”

Founded in 2015 by Jake Edwards, OTLR is the leader in providing mental health education and support for sporting clubs.
