The NFNL wishes to provide an update on the 2021 NFNL netball season.
In consultation with all NFNL clubs who field netball teams, the NFNL has made the following determinations regarding the 2021 netball season.
Please see the below scenarios, one of which will now be enacted depending on when we are able to resume competition again:
JULY 30 START
Section 1-6: Recommence from Round 10, with teams to play as per current fixture.
Section 7-13: Recommence from Round 11, with teams to play as per current fixture.
This will leave
Five rounds in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
Four rounds in the Section 7-13 home and away season, plus finals.
Finals
Finals would be played over three weeks, using the same finals format as past seasons.
Section 1-6 grand finals would be played on September 17.
Section 7-13 grand finals would be played on September 10.
AUGUST 6 START
Section 1-6: Recommence from Round 10, with teams to play as per current fixture.
Section 7-13: Recommence from Round 11, with teams to play as per current fixture.
This will leave
Five rounds in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
Four rounds in the Section 7-13 home and away season, plus finals.
Finals
Finals would be played over two weeks, beginning with two knockout semi finals (1st vs 4th; 2nd vs 3rd) with the two winners to proceed to the grand final.
Section 1-6 grand finals would be played on September 17.
Section 7-13 grand finals would be played on September 10.
AUGUST 13 START
Section 1-6: Recommence from Round 11, with teams to play as per current fixture.
Section 7-13: Recommence from Round 12, with teams to play as per current fixture.
This will leave
Four rounds in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
Three rounds in the Section 7-13 home and away season, plus finals.

Section 7-13: Recommence from Round 13, with teams to play as per current fixture.
This will leave
Three rounds in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
Two rounds in the Section 7-13 home and away season, plus finals.
Finals
Finals would be played over two weeks, beginning with two knockout semi finals (1st vs 4th; 2nd vs 3rd) with the two winners to proceed to the grand final.
Section 1-6 grand finals would be played on September 17.
Section 7-13 grand finals would be played on September 10.
AUGUST 27 START
Section 1-6: Recommence from Round 13, with teams to play as per current fixture.
Section 7-13: Recommence from Round 14, with teams to play as per current fixture.
This will leave
Two rounds in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
One round in the Section 7-13 home and away season, plus finals.
Finals
Finals would be played over two weeks, beginning with two knockout semi finals (1st vs 4th; 2nd vs 3rd) with the two winners to proceed to the grand final.
Section 1-6 grand finals would be played on September 17.

SEPTEMBER 3 START
Section 1-6: Recommence from Round 14, with teams to play as per current fixture.
Section 7-13: Recommence from the semi finals.
This will leave
One round in the Section 1-6 home and away season, plus finals.
Finals in Section 7-13.
