Lower Plenty Football Club is saddened by the sudden passing of club favourite and much-loved canteen manager Bronwyn White.
Bronie has been a stalwart of the club over many years and filled roles from canteen manager to function caterer and cleaner.
A fun lady, known for her quick wit and cheeky humour, Bronie was a favourite of the Lower Plenty faithful and opposition players and supporters alike.
After a funny exchange at the canteen just two weeks ago, a West Preston-Lakeside player told her jokingly he was coming to play at Lower Plenty next year just for her.
Bronie was a shining light at Lower Plenty. She cooked the meals on Thursday nights, managed the canteen on match day and made sure the Cave was always in pristine condition.
However, it was her smile, positive attitude and endless energy that had the biggest impact around the club.
A message released by the football club said:
“As our football club closes ranks to grieve for one of our own, our hearts go out to Bronie’s family and friends.
“We have lost an irreplaceable friend and will never forget how lucky we were to have such a beautiful person as an integral part of our football club.
“Rest in peace Bron, you will always be part of our family and never out of our hearts.”
Bronie passed away suddenly last Saturday morning.
