2021-22 Summer Netball Round 1 Grading Fixture

The fixture for the opening round of grading in the 2021-22 NFNL summer netball season has been released.

A total of 45 teams have registered for the upcoming summer netball campaign.

Hazel Glen will field its inaugural team in the NFNL after being admitted to the league last month, becoming the fifth netball-only club along with Heat, Hume, Ivanhoe and La Trobe University.

The clubs who have entered teams in the 2021-22 summer netball season are: Bundoora, Epping, Greensborough, Hazel Glen, Heat, Heidelberg, Heidelberg West, Hume, Hurstbridge, Kilmore, Lalor, Montmorency, Northcote Park, St Mary’s, Thomastown and Watsonia.

Bundoora will field a competition-high nine teams in the summer competition, while Heat has the entered the second-most teams, with six.

All matches in the 2021-22 NFNL summer netball season will be played at La Trobe Sports Stadium.

The first three rounds of competition will be graded, with all teams to begin in one grading section, before being placed into their respective sections.

Players can register for the 2021-22 NFNL summer netball season by completing their club’s registration form at www.nfnl.org.au/netball-player-and-officials-registration-forms.

Ahead of the commencement of the competition, the NFNL wishes to advise of conditions that will be in place for the 2021-22 NFNL summer netball season.

• In accordance with the conditions in place under Phase C of Victoria’s roadmap, indoor community sport is open to the minimum number required. Therefore, only players and officials listed on the team sheet will be permitted to enter the stadium. Spectators, including children, will not be permitted to enter. This condition will be in place until Phase D of the Victorian roadmap is implemented by the Victorian Government.

• In line with La Trobe University requirements, all eligible members, patrons, participants and user groups aged 16 years and above will need to show evidence of being fully vaccinated or have a valid medical or legal exemption to enter La Trobe Sports Stadium.

• All patrons will be required to check-in using the Service Victoria QR code prior to entering the stadium.

• Masks are required to be worn whenever you are not exercising or competing inside the stadium. This is in accordance with the conditions currently in place under Phase C of Victoria’s roadmap.

• An entry fee of $2.50 will apply for all patrons aged 18 years or over. The entry fee must be paid on card. No cash will be accepted at the venue.

The NFNL will work closely with all clubs and La Trobe University to ensure all conditions are applied accordingly.
