2022-23 Summer Senior and Junior Netball Round 1 Fixtures

The fixtures for the opening round of grading in the 2022-23 NFNL senior summer netball season and the first round of the 2022-23 NFNL junior summer netball season has been released.

SENIOR SUMMER NETBALL

A record total of 69 teams have registered for the upcoming summer netball campaign.

Kinglake will field two sides after the NFNL after being admitted to the league in September.

The clubs who have entered teams in the 2022-23 summer netball season are: Bundoora, Greensborough, Epping, Fitzroy Stars, Hazel Glen, Heat, Heidelberg, Heidelberg West, Hume, Hurstbridge, Kilmore, Kinglake, Lalor, Macleod, Montmorency, Northcote Park, Panton Hill, Thomastown, Watsonia, West Preston-Lakeside

Bundoora will again field a competition-high of 11 teams in the summer competition, while Heat has the entered the second-most teams, with nine.

Matches in the 2022-23 NFNL summer netball season will be played at La Trobe Sports Stadium and Mernda Central College on Friday nights.

The first three rounds of competition will be graded, with all teams to begin in one grading section, before being placed into their respective sections.

An entry fee of $3.00 will apply for all patrons aged 18 years or over. The entry fee must be paid on card. No cash will be accepted at the venue

Players can register for the 2022-23 NFNL summer netball season by completing their club’s registration form at www.nfnl.org.au/netball-player-and-officials-registration-forms.

JUNIOR SUMMER NETBALL

Following a successful junior winter netball competition earlier this year, 12 teams will participate in the league’s inaugural junior summer netball season.

The clubs who have entered teams are Bundoora, Donnybrook, Epping, Greensborough, Heat and Keon Park.

The competition will include an under 9’s section and an under 13’s section, with games to take place at Mill Park Sports Stadium on Wednesday nights.

Entry is free of charge for patrons at all NFNL junior netball matches.
