The Northern Football Netball League has named its representative netball squads ahead of its clash with the Eastern Football League on Friday May 18.

Following two try-out sessions, the NFNL has named 11-player squads for both its open and under-19 teams for its matches against the EFL at Knox Regional Netball Centre.

A total of seven clubs are represented across the two squads, with powerhouse Diamond Creek having eight players included, while four players from Greensborough have been selected.

Ivanhoe coach Julie Hibberd has been appointed coach of the NFNL’s open team in 2018, while Greensborough’s Sharon Ashworth will continue as under-19 coach.
Bundoora’s Jacinta Tonkin will serve as an assistant to both teams.

The NFNL netball squads will commence training from Sunday April 22 ahead of the matches against the EFL in one month’s time.

The NFNL congratulates all players selected in the squads and thanks all players who trialled for the squads during the try-out sessions.
