2019 NFNL Netball Representative Tryouts

Published on Tuesday, March 12, 2019

The NFNL is accepting registrations for players wishing to nominate for tryouts for the 2019 open and under-19 netball representative teams.

The NFNL’s two representative netball sides will this year travel to Geelong to take on the Geelong Football Netball League on Saturday May 18.

The matches will be played alongside the NFNL’s senior men’s and women’s football matches against the GFNL as part of the AFL Victoria Community Championships.

The NFNL is looking to extend its perfect representative record, with both the open and under-19 teams undefeated at interleague level since first competing in 2015.

All players that nominate for the representative teams must be available to attend the tryouts on Sunday March 24 at RMIT Bundoora from 3pm to 5pm.

A squad will be picked following the tryouts and a subsequent training session will be held on Sunday April 28 at RMIT Bundoora from 3pm to 5pm.

The NFNL has confirmed its coaching panel for this year’s netball interleague program, with Julie Hibberd to continue as open coach, while Jacqui Harrington will lead the under-19s. Jacinta Tonkin will serve as an assistant coach to both teams.

For any further information please call NFNL Netball Manager Delwyn Berry on 9435 8122 or email dberry@nfnl.org.au.
