Senior Teams | 2019 Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 Grand Final

Published on Friday, September 20, 2019

The teams have been selected for the 2019 Meadows Greyhounds Division 1 Grand Final.

Greensborough has named an unchanged line-up following a 98-point win over North Heidelberg in the second semi final a fortnight ago.

The Boro, whose reserves are also playing off in the grand final on Saturday, will go into the grand final with the same 22 as their previous game as they hunt their first senior premiership since 2014.

West Preston-Lakeside has made just one change following last week’s preliminary final win, with Port Melbourne-listed midfielder Matthew Signorello named after his side bowed out of the VFL finals race last weekend.

Signorello – who spent the past two years on Adelaide’s AFL list – was a standout in six appearances for the Roosters during the home and away season. He was among the club’s best players in its Round 11 defeat to the Boro at J.E. Moore Park.

Isaac Constantinidis is the player who makes way.

West Preston-Lakeside’s line-up features 13 players who played in last year’s grand final, as it chases back-to-back premierships.

They include Jackson Clarke, Michael Ercolano, Alex Federico, Luke Lirosi, Garrett McDonagh, Joel McDonald, Ahmed Saad, James Tadd, Aidan Tilley, Mitch Tobin, Daniel Valeri, Nathan Valladares and Matt Vincitorio.
