AFL Victoria has provided an important update for all football coaches and coaching co-ordinators working in the NFNL in 2020.
Please read the important information for all 2020 coaches below:
All coaches and assistant coaches will register to their community club(s) via CoachAFL and this will replace the previous duplicated process of registering through SportsTG.
This is now in place and it is vital that ALL coaches register via CoachAFL annually to ensure they are accredited and able to be picked to a team sheet in 2020.
Coaches are able to select the club/team they are coaching in their Coaching Profile when renewing or accrediting for the first time.
AFL Victoria Northern Region has now finalised all coaches workshops for 2020.
All coaches co-ordinators, coaches and assistant coaches should place all key dates in their diaries, in preparation for 2020. It is expected that all coaches co-ordinators attend the three sessions throughout the year, as per the attachment below.
All assistant coaches MUST be accredited with CoachAFL and do the online component. This is the minimum standard, assistant coaches are encouraged to attend the coaching workshop which will provide them with full accreditation.

Continue below for information regarding the registration process required for all football coaches working in the NFNL in 2020:
New coaches
1. Complete the Coaching Profile at www.coach.afl
2. Pay the CoachAFL membership fee of $49.05
3. Agree to the Coaches’ Code of Conduct
4. Complete the online Foundation Course relevant to the playing age group of their team, including the concussion module
Please note: the online component also has a Mental Health Module for 2020.
Any coaches needing to reaccredit at the end of the 2019
Login to your existing CoachAFL account at www.coach.afl and:
1. Complete the Coaching Profile
2. Pay the CoachAFL membership fee of $49.05
3. Agree to the Coaches’ Code of Conduct
4. Complete an online module on Respectful Relationships
Please note: Once all coaches have completed the Respectful Relationships module, they also have to complete the Mental Health module for 2020. All modules need to be completed as appear on Coach.afl
Coaches required to update with accreditation expiring at the end of 2020/21
Login to your existing CoachAFL account at www.coach.afl and:
1. Complete the Coaching Profile
2. Agree to the Coaches’ Code of Conduct
3. Complete an online module on Respectful Relationships
Please note: Once all coaches have completed the Respectful Relationships module, they also have to complete the Mental Health module for 2020.
