The NFNL is pleased to announce the head coaches and football staff for the 2024 junior football representative program.
Alongside the continued Under 15 girls, and Under 14 & 15 boys sides, the NFNL will introduce an Under 14 girls team to compete in the AFL Victoria Metro Junior Development Series (AFL Victoria MJDS) this year.
Try outs for each of our squads will take place on Sunday March 17 and Sunday March 24, with the AFL Victoria MJDS Series to consist of three matches across Wednesday May 29, Saturday June 8 and Monday June 10.
The NFNL’s relationship with the Northern Knights will continue to be strengthened through the NFNL junior football representative program, with Under 18 Girls Coach Allana Dickie and Futures Boys Coach Brett Potter to be heavily involved in the program.
NFNL General Manager Football Operations Jeff Downes congratulated the appointed coaches and is looking forward to another successful year of the program.
“We extend our congratulations to all coaches who have been selected to represent the NFNL in this year’s junior football representative program,” he said.
“Along with our dedicated coaches, the inclusion of highly touted Northern Knights personnel will provide our selected squad players with great education on the necessary requirements to progress and be successful at the next stage of the talent pathway.
“We are also really excited to be providing a new Under 14 girls elite pathway program in 2024, which will reflect the continued growth of junior girls football in the NFNL during recent years.”
