The NFNL is aware of an incident which took place during a Division 3 senior men’s match on Saturday 6th June.
The league will review available video footage and make further enquiries with the assistance of both clubs to verify and identify anyone who was involved, particularly spectators.
We stand ready to provide full support to anyone impacted by what took place and assure them that the NFNL is taking this matter extremely seriously.
If anyone witnessed the incident or can identify those involved, we urge them to contact the league here for a confidential discussion (please label your enquiry as ‘Other’, which will be received and actioned by the NFNL CEO). Police have also been notified of what occurred and any information provided may assist with their enquiries.
Racism in any form is both disgusting and unacceptable and the NFNL has a zero-tolerance approach to this behaviour in our community.
